ONE KILLED; THREE INJURED

UNUSUAL ACCIDENT. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, April 21. , A 14-year-okl schoolboy was killed instantaneously and three men were injured in an unusual accident that occurred at ATaeAndrew Bay at about 0.40 on Saturday evening. ATctims were:— KILLED. JAN ROBERT SULLIVAN, aged 14 years, who resided in Hazel Avenue, Dunedin. INJURED. Frank Stunner, a married man, living at Alacandrew Bay, injuries to left leg and shock. . . John Baillie, a young man living at GSO Cumberland Street, shock and cuts on his arms. Alexander Geddes, a young man ol 234 Hanover Street, lacerated hand and shock. Sullivan, in company with two youths, AVilliarn Trotter and Charles Robinson, was 'assisting Air Stunner drag his sailing boat across the main highwav. The lioat was mounted on a trolley," and Sullivan and Air Stunner were pushing near the stern of the yacht, when the motor truck, driven by James McNulty, of Dunedin, struck tiie boat aft. ’ Sullivan received severe injuries and must have died instantaneously. Mr Stunner was not seriously injured, hut was removed to the Dunedin Hospital. After the impact the truck veered across the road and overturned into the water. The driver escaped injury, hut the two passengers, Messrs Baillie and Geddes. had to he taken to hosnital, where they were admitted at 7 o’clock. AIOTOII-CYCLI ST KILLED. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, April 21. A motor-cyclist, Patu Dibble, aged 19. Tikitiki. was killed yesterday afternoon, when lie collided with a car on a bend a few miles north of" Te Puia. A pillion rider. Moana Rangi, is in the Te Puia hospital with both leg 3 broken. :
