A COSMOPOLITAN CORPS. TOIL BEHIND MAGINOT LINE. LONDON, April 8. “United in a common cause—hatred of Nazism —volunteers from all parts of the world, including many Germans, are toiling behind the Maginot Line as a British pioneer corps,” says •a special representative of ttie Times in Prance. “They are building roads and railway cuttings,” he adds. “Mingled with the stutter of electric drills and the clatter' of picks and shovels can bo heard the babel of 20 languages from Jews and Gentiles, Arabs and European refugees.
