(From Our Own Correspondent.) LINTON, April 18. Among recent visitors to the Exhibition are Mr and Mrs A. Hoard,. Mr and Mrs D. Currin, Misses V. and I. Rix, Miss Totlman, Mrs T. D. Lynch, Mrs and Misses W. and P. Harrison. Mr and Mis Jos. Batchelar were rccont visitors to Napier and Hastings. Mr and Mrs K. Russell have returned from a North Island tour. At the second euchre party held in the church hall the winners were Mrs Wishnowsky and Master T. Nash. The garden circle held its meeting on Wednesday afternoon at Mrs S. Irvine’s residence, when only a few members were able to be present. A wedding of considerable local inioresl was celebrated recently at St. Augustine’s Church, Napier, when Rev. S. R. Gardener joined in matrimony Frank Allan Lash, third son of Mr and Mrs F. Lash, and Thelma Elsie, eldest daughter of Captain and Mrs E. I. B. Webster. The bride entered the church with Mr C. J. Monrad. who was acting in the absence of the bride's father, who is on active service. She was attractively gowned in a model fuchsia ensemble with navy hat and accessories, and carried a novel floral muff with pleated ends of fuchsia net. Miss Tony Lash, of Palmerston North, cousin of the bridegroom, attended the bride. She wore a charming frock of powder blue and navy crcpe-de-ehine. navy hat with powder blue spotted veil, and carried a floral muff with pleated ends of powder blue and navy net. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr W. G. Bassett, of Linton. The bride, on leaving the church, was presented with n floral horseshoe by her sister, Miss Leone Webster. After the ceremony a reception was hold at the home of Mr and Mrs Monrad, Clyde Road, Napier. Mrs Webster 'received the guests wearing a flora', ensemble and' carried n sheaf of delphiniums. A special feature of the wedding breakfast table, which was decorated with asters and fen, was the beautiful wedding cube made and iced by Mrs Goodgaine. Liter.
