BULLS.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, April 17. On Saturday a four-ball Stableford competition will be played on the local golf links. The annual meeting of the Bulls branch of the Plunket Society, was held on Tuesday’, Mrs Shaw presiding. Before commencing the business of the meeting Mrs Shaw asked all present to stand in silence zb a mark of respect to the late Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage. The report and balancesheet were adopted. The nurse reported: New baby eases, 21; visits to homes, 127; visitors to rooms, adults 404, babies 368, children 139. The following officers were elected: President. Mrs Shaw; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames Meads, Mackay, Holland, Homes and Signal; delegates to the Marton centre, Mesdames Shaw and Signal; acting-secretary and treasurer, Mrs Meads; hon. auditor, Mr Mackay; committee, Mesdames Meads, Mackay, Holland, Homes. Signal, Kearney, Lundy, R. Kemp and C. Culpan. Mrs Shaw proposed a vote of thanks to the retiring secretary, Mrs Farror, and votes of thanks were also passed to Miss N. Wilson, Mr and Mrs Price, Mr Mackay, Mrs Shaw. and ethers who had assisted the branch. Mrs F. A. Holland, who has been a member of the society for the past nineteen years, fcas elected a life member.
