TIME RUNS SHORT
NORWEGIAN OPINION. SPEEDY AID ESSENTIAL. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) JjONJJciN, April 17. The:Times says that all the news reaching official quarters in London shows that time is running short in Norway. Norwegians here declare that everything depends on Ihe despatch of speedy and effective Allied help, not merely in the narrow strip in North Norway but in thq south-west, where the Germans are fortiiying their.positions. Neutral States are sharply watching all moves for better or for worse. News from Italy and Russia shows that both countries would probably shape their policies when they saw how events in Norway were turning. At Stockholm the American ConsulGeneral has circularised all Americans asking them to consider sending their families to the country in view of the uncertain situation. “Possibly Stockholm may evacuate,” he said.
