A UCKL AND-AUSTRALIA. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND,. April 18. After discussing the position arising from the withdrawal of the Awatea from tho Auckland-Australia run, the Auckland Chamber of Commerce decided to-day to request the Government to investigate the cargo shipping space available in this port. A resolution was carried as follows: —“That the Government be requested' as w most urgent matter to arrange lor the use of all available space on vessels trading between Auckland on the. one hand and Australian ports and Fiji on the other.” , . , Mr N. V. Le Petit said that. Auckland was dependent on three shipping lines. Although there was no protest so far as passengers were concerned the position regarding cargo was different.
