HITCH OCCURS
FRENCH CABINET. REVERSE IE CHAMBER. M. REYNAUD TO REMAIN. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.; Received March 28, 12 noon. PARIS, March 22. After a brief respite France was again plunged into political uncertainty to-night as a result of the deputies’ vote of 268 to 156 in favour of M. Reynaud’s (government. Although there was a majority of 112 after an acrimonious debate on a motion of confidence there were 111 abstentions, resulting in M. Reynaud immediately calling Cabinet to decide whether to continue in office.
The deputies adjourned and M. Reynaud later decided to remain in office.
Earlier it was reliably stated be was remaining in office unless the Radical Socialist Ministers, including M. Daladier, were withdrawn. After the first Hush of enthusiasm rumblings of discontent could be discerned when the deputies met in an excited mood. The Rightists were furious over the inclusion of Socialists in the Cabinet.
