PILOT-OFFICER LUXMOORE.
FORMER. EEILDING BOY. Pilot-Officer Anthony Seton (Tony) Ltixmoore, who is mentioned in tile cable news to-day as having participated in the raid on Sylt, is the only son of Mr and Airs H. C. Luxmooro. of Cunninghams, Feilding, and xvas in his 26th year when he left Nexv Zealand in September, 1935. for a. short term commission in the Royal Air Force. Since then lie has been attached to a bombing squadron on the East Coast of England. In a recent letter to his parents Pilot-Officer Ltixmoore said he and his mates xverc getting tired of “doing nothing,” and were hoping for something to turn up. Pilot-Officer Luxmoore xvas educated at the Feilding Agricultural High School, and xvas a very popular young in an. being ivell-known throughout the Manaxvatu district. He received his first tuition in fixing at the Milson Aerodrome and xvas one of the first pilots from this district to volunteer lor the R.A.F. Some years ago PilotOfficer Luxmoore gained the first prize in a firing competition for a trophy donated by Collinson and Cunninglianie, Ltd.
