CRICKET
The following has been announced as the team to represent Bay of Plenty in the challenge lor the Hawke Cup, now held by the Manawatu Cricket Association: N. W. Bay ley (captain and manager), B. Harding, L. Spring, D. J. Ewert, J. Douglas, A. McGill, J. C. M. Simmers. R. L. Ewert, D. Lawrence, E. Andrews, R. G. B. Chadwick. All the players are from Rotorua with the exception of L. Spring, who resides in Whakatane. As I. Hearsey is not available for the Manawatu team P. Spelman has been selected in his place, and L. Cockery will be twelfth man.
