RANGIWAHIA CATTLE FAIR.

The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy., Ltd., report having hold tho Rnngiwaliia autumn cattle fair on Monday, when approximately 500 head of station bred cattle were offered to a large bench of buyers from the surrounding districts. Competition at the commencement of the sale was slack, but as the sale advanced bidding became brisker and vendors met the market at, values in keeping with recent, sales. Big framed 4 and 5-yr bullocks met with exceptionally keen competition, whilst wolfbred 2'i to 3iyr. steers were also in demand, wenner steers were hard to dispose of, 2jyr. P.A. and Hereford empty heifers also met with a ready sale. Fat station-bred cattle and cows cx-dairy were in keen demand, and in this section more than satisfactory sales resulted. Store and boner cows ex-dairy sold at late rates. A small yarding of store ewe and wether lamb 3 elicited good competition and wo report a total clearance in this section at values well in keeping with outside sales.
