Asked in the House of Commons whether lie could give the latest information of the results of action against U-boats, the First Lord of the Admiralty (Mr Winston Churchill) said our success was greater than had been expected ' and that, though the results, of course, varied week to week, the average rate weekly of sinking's—not less than two per week—which he gave in December was in no way exaggerated.
