QUIET TONE.

WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE. MARKET STEADY. Apart from some dealings in Government loans, business on the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday was very quiet. The market, however, was generally steady, prices showing little change. Tlio inquiry for Government loans was less active, but prices of the various issues sold were at about late ■rates. Increased interest was shown in hanks and quotations were steady. Industrial issues were inclined to he quiet. Buyers of Bonds Hosiery Mills moved up Is to 255. Macduffs ordinaries were done at ss.
