(Front Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, Feb. 22. Air and Airs A. Viles, of Fentherston, are at Otaki Beach. Mr and Airs A. A. Saveli, who have resided in this town for some considerable time, have decided to take up residence in Levin. Air Saveli is on the staff of the Horowhenua Electric Power Board. The funeral of the late Air W. It. Bov den took place at Karori on Alonday, when there was a very representative cortege, including a number of Otaki residents. A pleasing ceremony took place at tho 1.0.0. F. social evening when the G.L. representative (Bro. J. T). Cooksley) presented Sister Alorgan with a P.G. collar in recognition of ten years’ faithful work as secretary of the local lodge. Bro. Cooksley spoke very highly of the capabilities of Sister Alorgan. Sister Alorgan was appludcd on accepting the gift, which she stated would always be highly valued. At the 1.0.0. F. dance Mr Rule was Af.C. The music was suppleid by Mrs IToone, while the ladies supplied an appetising supper. First euchre prizes were won by Air L. Afoss and Airs 11. G. Wylie, while Mr Jensen and Airs Simons annexed the second prizes. A large stark of bay, the property of. ATr F. J. Ryder, was destroyed by fire. The cause is unknown.
