BOWLING. As a result of a match played on the Woodville Bowling Club's green on Monday. R. Batchelor and Dr Mules arc now on equal terms (both arc onc-lifcrs) for the singles championship. Prior to the game Dr Mules had two lives and Batchelor one, but in defeating Dr _ Alulcs Batchelor has strengthened his position and the competition now resolves itself into a straight-out final between these Iwo players to decide the championship, the championship pairs competition was also brought a step nearer completion on Alonday when Bullot and Morgan (skip) placed themselves at the top of the tuo--1 ifens’ section by defeating Vowoll and Dr Mules (skip). Several games remain to be played in the one-lifers’ section before the competition is concluded.
