OH INGAITI EWE FAIR. At the special ewe fair held in Messrs Mclntyre and Company’s yards at Ohingaiti on Monday, the Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., report having offered 4000 breeding ewes, with a few pens of lambs, to a fair attendance' of tho public. The special offering on account of Mr Charles Mclntyre, which included his complete flock of 2th, 4th, 6th and 4yr and syr ewes, elicited keen conipetition. Values for this client’s entries were well up to recent quotations. Several pens of 21h ewes were offered. One lino of well-grown early shorn good-condition-ed. finc-woolled sheep offered on account of Mr J. C Wilkie realised the excellent price of 35s Id, while other smaller lots made from 22s 3d upwards. A few pens of aged owes in poor condition and low in the mouth were not wanted. Ewe and wether lambs met with keen competition, a total clearance being effected in this section at prices fully up to late rates. Ihe following is a list of sales: —On account Chas.
