ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.
The annual meeting of the Palmerston North Sub-Centre of the St. John Ambulance Association was held reeently, Mr A. E. Mansford being in the chair. The report disclosed that the past year.had been one of progress, as during the year 13 classes of instruction had been held, there being five _ first aid, three home nursing, one preliminary home nursing, and four preliminary first aid. Three hundred and three candidates qualified for certificates, 75 of these being preliminary. The following officers were elected: President, the Mayor (Mr A. E. Mansfordl: vice-presidents, Rev. Canon G. Y. Woodward. Mrs A. E. Mansford, Rev. J. Hubbard. Rt. Rev. Monsignor MacManus, and Rev. C. Eaton; lion, secretary, Mrs F. Williams; lion, treasurer, Mr K. G. Chamberlain; committee. Dr Adah Platts-Mills, Mesdames L. E. Rale. J 11. Whyte, A. A. Langley. G. Peren, Misses L. M. Ranl.-s, E. E. Stephens, C. Warburton. Ml Jones. Alessrs IT. M. Scott. E. ,Tact-son. AY. 0. Rlack. W. R. Tencent, Tv. A. Henderson, C. AA 7 oods, J. Murray and E. Bary.
