GERMAN HARVEST.
EXCELLENCE CLAIMED. BERLIN, Seplj. 23. The Ministry of Agriculture announced that the harvest is one of the best in the country’s history, being 27,400,000 tons, 500,000 more than in 1938. Millions of tons can be hoarded. The situation regarding meat, eggs and fat is not so favourable, but it is claimed that the rationing system to begin on September 25 will provide a sufficiency, while potatoes are plentiful and will not be rationed. Adults will be prohibited from obtaining milk after September 25.
