SUNK BY NAZIS
NEUTRAL SWEDISH SHIP. U-BOAT OFF NORWAY. AERIAL COLLABORATION. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph..—t opyright.) Received SeptembeV 25, 9.55 a.m. OSLO, Sept. 23. The 1510-ton Swedish steamer Gertrud Bratt-, while on her way to England with woodpulp, was torpedoed and sunk hy a German submarine fifteen miles off Langesund, in tlie Skagerrak. A Norwegian torpedo-boat rescued all eighteen members of the crew. Witnesses said that an aeroplane accompanied the U-boat. Another message says tlie Finnish Government has protested to Germany in connection with the sinking of the Martti ltagnar (reported on page 9).
