COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.
A twenty-first birthday party was given at the residence of Mr and Mrs G. O. Hansen, of Karaka Street, on September 16, in honour of Miss Betty Hansen, who also announced her engagement to Mr W. Rillstone. The party began with Danish dinner at 7 p.m. The tables were decorated in green and orange, and with spring flowers. The cake was a new model, a basket of flowers and maidenhair fern. There were guests from - other towns—Wanganui, Wellington and Taihape; there being forty guests altogether. Dancing and games were continued, till a late hour and a. dainty supper was served. The guest of. honour looked very charming in a gold shot taffeta frock. Mrs G. O. llan6en wore maroon silk velvet. Among those present were: Mr and Mrs Nielsen. Mr and Mrs B. Barker and Barbara Barker, Mr and Mrs Small, Mr and Mrs Stiggles, Mr and Mrs G. P. Hansen, Mr and Mrs Beid, Mr and Mrs Toye, Mr and Mrs Ward, Mr and Mrs Gemmell, Mr and Mrs J. Anderson, Mr and Mrs Tier, Mr Bendickson. Mr F. ’ Hansen, Miss Joan Exton, Miss Audrey Cameron, Misses Reynolds and Wilson, Messrs R. Bottle, Rillstone, Morrison and Polglase.
