Nearly 750,000 cigarettes which did not comply with the import regulations were burned on the premises of a Dunedin firm last week -under the supervision of the Oustoms Department. They had been ordered, prior to the restrictions, and after their arrival it was found there was no ready Sale for them, so the importers decided that destruction would be the best step m tlie circumstances.
