HANDY HINTS.
To remove egg-stains from silver, wash with cold water and salt.. To treat a high-standard wooden floor first dissolve one pound of wax in a gallon of turpentine. It is urgent to add that this must not be done over a fire. Give the wax a.good 24 hours for absorption, well away from any fire. Use a soft cloth for polishing, and finish off with spirit polish. This applies notably to parquet flooring. Eor a good substitute for whipped cream : Cream together • two ounces each of butter and sugar; add'2 tablespoonfuls of thick, creamy blancmange and 1 teaspoonful of vanilla essence. Which until of the right consistency.
