GRAMOPHONE GROUP,
A programme demonstrating the genius of Brahms was chosen for the meeting' of the gramophone group of the British Music Society at the home of Dr. F. H. McDowall, on Tuesday night, over 20 members being present. The programme was as follows:—“The Second Symphony” (London Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Sir Thomas Beecham). “Ballades in B Minor and G Minor” and “Rhapsody in G Minor” (Backhouse). “In a Graveyard” (Kipnis), \ndante Movement from Quartette in B flat fLener String Quartette) and Double Concerto for Violin and ’Cello (Thibaud and Casals).
