COLD PERIOD CONTINUES. SNOW AND HAIL. ANOTHER HEAVY FIIOST. ’ Bleak and typical wintry conditions continue in the Manawatu district, but tho week-end was remarkable for the vagaries in the weather. Drizzling . showers of ram fell early on Saturday morning, and the outlook for the remainder of the day was unfavourable but, though the weather was slightly ■ boisterous and threatening, the rain . held off.
