FOXTON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, July 17. Mr and Airs G. Ryan, of Taihape, are on a visit to Foxton.
A road cycle race, under tho auspices of the Foxton Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club, over the 35 miles course (Foxton-Sliannon-Levin), resulted: R. Dorrcen (llir 49min) 1, D. Hussey' (llir 49min 4sec) 2, E. Lucinsky (llir 45min 22sec) 3, R. Bimpson (llir 43min 53scc) 4. It. Simpson put up the fastest time and E. Lucinsky was second. At a special meeting of flic Foxton branch of the It.S.A. it was decided to do all possible to recruit sufficient men tor Foxton, and to bold a recruiting meeting
