NEW ZEALAND CLOSES AT 1265. CHEESE PRICES STEADY. The London butter market is slow, according to the cubled report supplied by the Primary Products Marketing Department, through the Dairy Board. The price of .\ew Zealand butler last week rose to 1265, the first time since January that the guaranteed price level has been passed, 'the present price is from 4s to 5s aewt. above that ruling a year ago. Lithuanian.—Unsalted, 112 s, ex. 114 s (112 s). Polish.—Salted and unsalted, 110 s to Ills (109 s to 110 s). Retail prices were unchanged. New Zealand at Is 2d and Danish at Is 3d a lb.

The present price of 126 s is equal to approximately 15.13 d per lb f.0.b., New Zealand ports, compared with the guaranteed price of 14.89 d per lb, f.o.b. The London equivalent of the guaranteed price is 124 s3d per cwt. The equivalent price of cheese is about 7.49 d per lb, f.0.b., compared with the guaranteed price of 8.42 d.

Deliveries of New Zealand butter from store last week totalled 1278 tons, as
