HOSTILITY CEASES.
QUIET IN TOIvIO. LONDON, July 16. The Tokio correspondent of tho Times says that the anti-British manifestations in the city ceased as suddenly as they had l>egun. The British Embassy gates are wide open, the peaceful conditions coinciding with the initiation of the talks between Sir Robert Craigic (British Ambassador to Japan) and Mr Arita (Jajianese Foreign Minister). On the contrary, there are hostile demonstrations in other parts of Japan, Manchukuo, and China whicli were unabated at the week-end.
