RUGBY SELECTIONS.
(To the Editor.)
Sir.. —Being a keen supporter of our grand old game of Rugby and its players, especially the young and consistent inemlvers that we have in this town, what I want to know, and many others also, is what qualifications these young and capable boys require to have to qualify for representative consideration. * Is it past or present form that is taken into consideration ? Looking through the list of players selected to train for the representative team one must sec that past form, certainly not. present form, has been considered in quite a few cases. Tam writing in sympathy with the young and consistent plavers of whom we have quite a number in this town up to representative form and who linve been overlooked. These are the players that should be encouraged, not those whose best Rugby days have passed. By selecting on these lines I am cmite sure our standard of Rugby would improve.—T am. etc.. LOVER OF THE GAME.
