WONDER GLASS BLOWERS.
A feature of the Palmerston North Winter Show, commencing to-morrow, will lie the glass blowing exhibition to be given by the Wonder Class Blowers. Taking the molten glass from tho specially constructed furnace, they will make ornamental vases, magnifying glasses, graceful swans, birdr of paradise with flowing tails, old Dutch smoking pipes, and a host of other articles. A few quick movements with the fingers and a sailing ship in full sail is the result. These are a few of the articles that, appear in a few moments under the delicate touch and sureness of breath of these talented artists, and the articles produced arc wonderfully fine, both in workmanship and finish. They will demonstrate how fine, glass can be blown, spin glass to the thinness of a spider's web and show what ran he done with brittle glass—while ii is molten hot. The articles arc made in full view of the audience, and as each article is made the manufacture is fully explained. The glass dress is a wonderful piece of work, ft is made entirely of glass and can he handled and worn like any ordinary dress. The model of the Sydney harbour bridge, six feet. in length and ail glass, is also a. unique piece of work.
