PRESIDENT’S LEADERSHIP. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 7. The recent suggestion by the Prime Minister (lit. Hon. Di. J. Savage) that the Dominion president of the Farmers’ Union (Dir AA T . A\\ Dlulholland) did not enjoy the wholehearted support of the farmers was emphatically reluted by the provincial conference of the Otago branch of the Farmers’ Union to-day when the following resolution was carried with enthusiasm: “That this conference greatly regrets the statement recently attributed to the Prime Dfinister to the effect that the farmers' of this Dominion are not- behind the Dominion president (Mr Mulholland) and assures the Prime Dfinister that, so far a.s Otago is concerned, his statement is contrary to Tact.”
