Airs G. L. B. Whillans was hostess when a bridge party, under the auspices of the Croquet Club, took place at her home this week. Several members of the club were present, and a vote of thanks was passed to Airs AATiiHnns for her hospitalitv. The local Harriers’ Club held a run recently. Tt is honed that the same keen interest as was evinced last season will again he manifested. Afr and Afrs T. G, Jamieson are spending a holiday in Auckland. Among the players who have been selected for the ATanawatu representative hockey team, at Palmerston North, are' E. J. Stitt and Ken Strand, of the AVoodville Club.
