SPANISH WARNING.
ECONOMIC ENCIRCLEMENT. MADRID, May 20. In tho course of a broadcast after the victory parade General Franco stated that he intended to collaborate in tlie pacification of Europe, but issued a warning to “certain nations” against tho adoption of economic encirclement. There must be no attempt to lessen Spain’s sovereignty or economic or political liberties for which she went to war, ho said. A Lisbon message says Portugal has conferred on General Franco tho Cordon of the Grand Cross of the Tower and Spade, tho highest Portuguese hiilitary honour.
