The stntionmaster at Feilding (Mr R. C. Croud is) has supplied the following information relative to the business transacted at the Feilding station for the four weeks ended March

In reference to the live-stock figures, it was stated in explanation of the fluctuations that the drought conditions prevalent had been responsible. Commenting on the annual return, Mr Croud is explained that the livestock- reduction was attributable to the drought spread over several months. Goods revenue on the outward side had dropped, as had also the total outward revenue, the latter showing a decrease of £1845.

A substantial increase in the goods

revenue on the inward side had resulted in the total revenue receipts improving by £3452.
