140 SHIPS READY TO LEAVE.

The United States Pacific Fleet, at present in the Atlantic, has been ordered to return to the Pacific and begin high-speed refuelling. Thousands of officers and ratings have had their shore leave cancelled. A total of 140 vessels will be ready to leave in 36 hours, while 56 ships will remain in the Atlantic.
