POPE’S CONGRATULATIONS. Received April 17. 11.35 a.m. VATICAN CITY, April 16. His Holiness the Pope, broadcasting to Spain, lauded the Nationalists’ fight lor Christian civilisation tyul congratulated them on their victory over Communism. He appealed to the victors to temper justice with mercy and to rcmemhci that many were misled by propaganda.
