Higher prosperity and the increas ed holiday facilities now available to the work people of Britain arc reflected in the pre-Easter withdrawals from the Post Office Savings Bank, which touched £4.000 000 enmnnred with J 3.750,000.750,000 at the same time last year.
The total balance now held by the Post Office Savings Bank for its 11,520,000 depositors is over £523,000.000, an increase of £14,000,000 since the beginning of this year. During the last 12 months there wore over 31,000.000 individual deposits, and 16,500,000 withdrawals were made.
