The nature of strata in Taranaki has caused the seismic survey party unexpected difficulties and the commencement of a systematic survey is indefinite. The general clogginess of the earth and the volcanic rock present conditions unlike anything yet encountered and tho scene of operations has been transferred from I/epperton to near Stratford.—Press Association.
