PERSONAL.

Mr and Mrs E. Martin, of Papatawa, are visiting Featherston. Messrs W. J. Rawkes and J. Morgan have returned from a motor tour of several northern districts. Mr R. Reynolds, of Wellington, is spending a holiday with relatives in Woodville. Mr and Mrs W. McCormack, of Wanganui, were visitors to Woodville on Tuesday. Mrs A. J. Williams, of Waipawa, is on a visit to her son. Rev. B. P. Williams, and Mrs Williams. Mr W. Eowntree, of Christchurch, who is re-visiting the district, was one of the first pupil teachers at the local school, of which he was a pupil between 50 and GO years ago. Colonel K. B. Tennent, of Howick. is at present on a visit to his parents, Mr and Mrs R. C. Tennent, Mcjjean Street. Colonel Tennent contested the Otahuhu seat at the last general elections in the Nationalist interests, and considering the Labour stronghold of that constituency, he put up what was generally regarded as a very good fight. Miss A. Kennedy, of Napier, is the guest of Mr and Mrs R. C. Tennent, Woodville. Recent visitors to Papatawa have been Mrs D. B. Couston (Dunedin) who has been the guest of relatives; Miss M. Ramsey (Wellington), Dr N. McCreath (Palmerston North) and Miss J. Reid (Dannevirke). Mr and Mrs C. Fox (l’etone) have been visitors to the Woodville district
