It Is possible that he may go on to Ricc&rlon, where Jiis Auckland owner now has Parquet and Teak in training. lie beat everything but Yours Turly, who has won three races in a row, in the Champion Hack Cup at Tronlham, and he lias some good form behind him in the Auckland district this season. He was a winner over a mile at Avondale in November, and immediately prior to his trip south to Trentham he was winner of the Morrir.sville Hack Handicap, 1J miles, under 8.8 at the To Anoba meeting, beating Royal Abb by a neck, and with the first day’s Champion Hack Handicap winner, Coronation, unplaced. Going to Riverton. The Awapuni rider, S. Anderson, is to do the riding for the Ricearton trainer G. Ridgway at Riverton at Faster, where his mounts will include Mungaloon, Waitaka and Garonne.

Beaupartir’s Stake Earnings. Beaupartir’s success in the Awapuni Gold Cup h;us brought hk stake earnings to £IB3O in ten starts, in which lie has had three wins, six seconds and a fourth. But for meeting Defaulter lie would have won both Derbies.

Dainty Sue’s Next. Dainty Sue was very unlucky in both the Rangitikei Cup and file King George Handicap at Awapuni, whore she finished third after being wide out all tho way and covering a lot of extra ground. Her next engagement is in tiio Hawke’s Bay Cup this week. 'This mare is good, but will not stand a iot of racing. She is also nominated for tho Fcilding Cup. Entail Comes Right.

Entail, whose win in the Tamatote Handicap at Awapuni was hk first since tic took the New Zealand St. Leger in 1936, now appears to have come right at last. The strong manner in which Entail finished on the outside as hk powerful strides took him past the field in the straight to win the Tamatcte Handicap will not be forgotten. It was the performance of an exceptional horse. Entail’s dam. Episode, won the Manawatu Sires’ Produce Stakes in 1928, and hk success on Saturday, coupled with Submission's win in tho Sires’ Produce Stakes, must have given much satisfaction to Mr G. M. Currie. Entail had only five starts last season, blit was unplaced on each occasion.

Conqueror of Ajax. Spear Chief, who brought alxmt the downfall of Ajax in the ttawson Stakes on Saturday, is in tho stable of tho former Palmerston North trainer, G. Price, at Randwick, and lias been a great performer in Queensland. Last season, as a three-year-old, Spear Chief won the Queensland Derby, the Brisbane Cup and the Queensland St. Leger. Prior to hk defeat, Ajax had eighteen consecutive victories, the last being in tho C. M. Lloyd Stakes, one mile, at Remington, on Saturday, March 11. This made hk record 25 wins and three seconds, and His earnings approximately £29,000. His owners were ambitious that he should beat the record of two New Zealand horses— Gloaming and Desert Gold, who each won nineteen races on end —but ho failed to do it. Awapuni Stable Pair. Cuisinicr, since being taken over by J. J. Waller, has improved greatly, and his Autumn Plate win was overdue. He was unplaced in nine starts last season. Recently he lias been placed at Pahiatua and Woodvillc and twice at Trentham (the second day in tho highweighc event). He stays on well, and it should not be difficult for him to earn more stake money. By Peach Brandy, who has left very few winners, Cuisinier is out of Miss Quarantine, a Quarantine mare who was dam earlier of the useful Leo Colossus. The family, descending through tho Wanganui Derby winner Fame, is one that lias produced many good horses, including such as Captain Webb, Dundee, Rangitero, and Aurora Borealis, and it is one with which the late Mr D. Buick had a lot of success. Aurora’s Star, from tho 6amo stable, is due to win soon. This filly, by Vaals from Aurora Borealis, won a maiden event at tho Marton summer meeting, was second in a subsequent back race at Pahiatua, and finished on fast from a rear jio.-i----tion to be third in tho Lockwood Handicap on the second day at Awapuni. She is engaged at Fcilding.
