THE HOUSEHOLD.
Remember that your kitchen is your workshop, and your utensils arc your tools. A good workman is known by the neatness of his shop and the good condition of his tools. Wlkui after much service a hroom becomes shorter on one side than the other, dip it in hot water and trim with the shears. The result will he a broom that is almost as good as now. After cleaning brass, rub with a cloth dipped in petroleum jelly and polish with a dry cloth. This will prevent it from tarnishing quickly during damp weather. It is a good plan to keep a jar of surgical spirits in the bathroom so that your husband can keep his razor without. fear of rusting the blade. In these days when safety razors are so much in use, this saves a lot of time taking razors to pieces, cleaning them, and putting them together again.
