J lie Auckland branch sought information regarding tile scojic and duties ol a welfare oilieer, and the secretary is to supply the information. Aiiss Aitken was authorised to confer with North Wellington federation of Women’s institutes regarding the proposed holiday at their beach home.
The problem of finding hoard in the city for children requiring treatment or attending school was considered, and it was resolved that a statement he brought down and the matter taken up with the New Zealand executive.
On behalf of the Toe H executive, Mr S. Panting inquired the possibility of running a club for hoys on similar lines to that in Christchurch, and intimated that his organisation would provide transport, a room, and refreshments. This gesture was welcomed, also the offer by Toe H to assist in making it possible for the hoys to see some football matches this season.
Aiiss Aitken agreed to endeavour to arrange that some of the handwork done by the girls be gathered for inclusion in a display at the Centennial Exhibition.
The chairman expressed his thanks to all who had assisted at the Christmas party.
