FAILURE OF APPEAL.

J. WINDER'S CASE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 21. The appeal of the jockey J. \\ inder against the decision of tile stewards of the Franklin Racing Club in suspending his license for two months as from March 4 for careless riding on Son of the Soil in the Bombay Handicap, was dismissed this evening by the Auckland district committee. The finding of tho district committee was as follows: “That tile appeal lodged by J. W inder against the decision of the stewards of the Franklin Racing Club in suspending bis jockey’s license for two months as from March 4, 1939, for a breach of rule 239 of the Rules of Racing, be dismissed, and the decision of the stewards of the Franklin Racing Club be endorsed.” The deposit lodged for appeal was ordered to be forfeited.
