LIFE-SAVING DISPLAY.
Fourteen members of the Castle clifl Life-Saving Club visited Mann watn Heads on Sunday in order to help stimulate interest in the P'oxton Surf Club. They were accompanied b.v the president, Mr F. K. Turnbull, and led by the club captain, Mr T. I uff. Air M. F. Pnrrcau welcomed the visitors on behalf of the local club and also extended a welcome to the Palmerston North Garrison Rand, and invited them to head the procession of life-saving teams to the ocean beach. Smartlv executed land drill and demonstrations of rescue work by the visiting team were aceorded applause. and these displays, intersners ed with selections hv the hand, konl the spectators entertained. The visitors "ere entertained hv local club members during their stav. It is expected that teams from tils Lvall Ray Surf Club will visit Mann Warn I leads at Master week-end, when a mass parade will be held.
