NEW BUILDINGS
POR TECHNICAL SCHOOL, BIG REORGANISATION SCHEAIE. Draft plans submitted by Mr E. R. Hodge, the AYanganui Education Board’s architect, for the reconstruction of the Palmerston North Technical School were briefly discussed, in committee by the controlling committee of the school, last evening. Approval of the tentative plans was signified, and it was agreed that the chairman (Air AT. H. Oram) and the director of the school (Air 11. AT. Scott) should proceed to Wellington today to go into the matter with tho .Minister of Education. Reorganisation of the school is proposed, providing for the complete filling in of .all the present frontages with buildings enclosing a. large quadrangle. Preliminary plans provide for the moving ol the assembly hall to the present vacant properties, and of the motor workshops to the extreme western boundary, with no open gaps facing any part of King, Queen and Princess .Streets.
