MORE CHEERFUL.
LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE. Received March 22. 1.5 p.in. LONDON, March 21. The Stock Exchange opened to-day much more cheerfully. Gilt-edged issues recovered by a half to one point. The improvement was maintained throughout the day, and there were appreciable gains all round. On the New York Stock Exchange the turnover was 690,000 shares.
