SEISMIC SURVEY.
OIL SEARCH IN TARANAKI. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH. March 20. A seismic survey of Taranaki, the third major attack in the New Zealand Petroleum Compnnv’s intensive search for oil in the province, will begin on Wednesday near Lepperton. The work will be done by a party of 15 men. including seven technical’! experts, equipped with four truckloads of the latest portable equipment. The leader of five party (Mr R. C. Clark), who has been making adyanee preparations, has been joined by six American technicians and Ihe equipment and trucks, includ’ng a long derrick for a portable drill, are expected to arrive at New Plymouth 10-morrow. The seven technicians will be sunplernented by three men transferred from the company’s operations elsewhere in New Zealand and by five men recruited in Taranaki.
