Roads have been badly damaged and bridges washed a way by serious flooding in the south-western districts of New South Wales.

Many towns were invaded by flood waters a.nd wasliaways eiosed al' the railway lines in the south-west, with the exception of the main line between Sydney and Afelbourne.
