LEADING ROLE IN EUROPE.
ENGLAND OR GERDIANY ? SYDNEY, Feb. 12. “II Britain does not introduce compulsory military training she will leave to Germany the role of leading nation in Europe,” declared Dr. E. M. Dc Molnar, of Hungary, in an address yesterday. “Europe will very soon have to decide which country is fitted for that role,” he added. “German foreign policy is against war with Britain. Germany would be content to leave to Britain the ruling of the waves, if Britain would resign from all influence in Europe, hut the lessons of history are all against Britain accepting such an agreement.” Dr. De Dlolnar said that he expected tho problems of German claims in Memel, Lithuania, and Danzig would be solved in a few weeks. Extension of influence to those areas was listed, according to Nazi posters, for 1939, and extension of influenu; to Yugoslavia and Hungary in 1940.
His latest letters from home indicated that the Parliament of Hungary was discussing alterations to its legislation to accord with Nazi principles, said Dr. De Dlolnar. It had already l>een forced to join the anti-Comintern Pact. Russia, he added, had ceased to be an influence in European politics.
Dr. Do Dlolnar, who is international commissioner of the Hungarian Boy Scouts’ Association, attended the recent world jamboree at Sydney.
