A Burgos message says the Franco Government has requisitioned 230 ships under a decree authorising the employment of the Nationalist merchant fleet for public purposes and national defence. The agricultural services have taken over 30,000 deserted farms in Catalonia and are developing them with captured material. Hendaye reports that the normal Franco-Spanish railway service through Hendaye and Irun is being resumed on February 23.
