WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE. Apart from tlie sale of six parcels of Government stocks, business on the "Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday was very limited. Government stocks were in active demand at firm rates which, where shown, were not up to holders’ ideas. Bank shares were dull and little changed. New Zealand D mortgage shares were firmer at 265, and the ordinaries were offering at 39s 6d. National of New Zealand had sellers in at 465. Dalgetys were available at £7 14s.

Most New Zealand issues, including insurance and industrial shares, _ were quiet. AVellington Woollen ordinaries were wanted at 975, sellers asking 100 s, and the preference were in demand at 99s 6d. Dominion Breweries were steady at 31s, New Zealand were offering at 40s, and Tooths were firm at 555. Australian industrial issues were generally steady.
