YOUNG BOY SUCCUMBS

A half-castc Maori, Donald Farrow, aged 12, the son of Mr and Mrs John Farrow of Gisborne, was drowned in the Waiapu Iliver at Tikitiki yesterday afternoon. With four. other hoys, deceased. who could not swim, went for a bathe in a deep hole. . When it was realised he was m difficulties his companions went for assistance, hut some time elapsed before the body was recovered.
